I wanted to upload this as a separate deviation instead of just swapping the old picture for the new since I think it shows the improvement I've made since I originally drew it: [link]

I was looking at that drawing that I did less than a month ago today and I was stroke by the fact that there was practically no lighting effect! The shadows were not very dark and the drawing suffered from it.

So I imported it into photoshop and with the burn tool I put some shadows. I think the drawing looks way more professional and realistic that way. The shadows aren't quite as good as I had hoped... but better than they were.

So which one do you like the best? The first or the second?

I really like it, especially her hair. I think you've really improved, especially with shadows and highlighting.

I liked the first one better, but I could tell that they both were Emma Watson! Her features are very defined because she is so thin, and more shadows around her cheeks and nose would've made it more Emma-like ;) But it's great, good job!

Thanks! Yeah I think I didn't modify the shadows properly now that I look at it again :P Oh well. It still shows atleast that the original would need some improvement :)
